Labourer - Works

We are seeking a hard-working and team-oriented person to join our Works Team . This role will assist in the construction and maintenance of Council’s infrastructure and may also be called upon to utilise their skills in other areas as required.

• Permanent full-time position - 76 hours per fortnight
• Remuneration range of $1005.51 to $1126.17 gross per week + Superannuation.
• Ongoing training and development opportunities.
• 9-Day fortnight  

Your new role:

Some key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

• Assist in ensuring safe working site(s).
• Traffic Control
• Check and install roadside furnishings, e.g., signs, guideposts and guardrails.
• Administration and submission of timesheets, plant hire sheets, MMS sheets, water,         and gravel sheets as appropriate.
• Assist in installing culverts.
• Assist in concreting work including preparation and finishing.
• Assist in bitumen patching.
• Operate minor items of plant.
• Operate major items of plant as required.
• Other duties as required.

What you need to succeed:

• School Certificate
• Driving Licence Class C or applicable Provisional P1 or P2

• Induction Training for Construction Workers Certificate (White Card)
