We are seeking a hard-working and team-oriented person to join our Parks and Gardens Team at The Rock. This role will focus on maintaining and enhancing the appearance of all facilities, parks, gardens, reserves, cemeteries, streets, and trees managed by the Lockhart Shire Council and may also be called upon to utilise their skills in other areas as required.
- Permanent full-time position - 76 hours per fortnight
- Remuneration range of $1005.51 to $1126.17 gross per week + Superannuation.
- Ongoing training and development opportunities.
- 9-Day fortnight
Your new role:
Some key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Assist in ensuring safe working site(s).
- Administration and submission of timesheets, plant hire sheets, water and gravel sheets.
- Ensure plant is checked and operated in accordance with the Manufacturer’s operating instructions and maintained in proper and safe working order.
- Provide well maintained facilities, parks, gardens, streetscapes, reserves and cemeteries through accepted horticultural practices.
- Maintain trees through accepted horticultural practices and establish and maintain new trees / tree plots.
- Maintain parks and gardens equipment, shed and materials storage area.
- Undertake weed spraying and vermin eradication
- Maintain and ensure cleanliness and tidiness of urban and approaches.
What you need to succeed:
- Driving Licence Class C
- Induction Training for Construction Workers Certificate (White Card)
- Labouring experience.
