Position Overview
The Director / Nominated Supervisor is responsible for the effective management and leadership of Lockhart Early Learning Centre. Reporting to the Director of Corporate and Community Services, this role involves overseeing the daily operations of the service and ensuring compliance with the National Quality Standard (NQS), Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, Child Safe Standards and other relevant legislation.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with educators to enhance the educational program, maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment and build strong relationships with families and the community.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of early childhood education and care standards.
Desirable Qualifications:

Degree in Early Childhood Education or
-
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or
-
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in early childhood services, preferably in a leadership role.

Extensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Child Care Subsidy system, and relevant legislation.

Demonstrated experience leading teams and supporting professional development.
- Experience engaging positively with families and the broader community.
In addition, the candidate should demonstrate
- Excellent communication skills.
- A strong commitment to child safety and child wellbeing.
- An understanding of child protection responsibilities and mandatory reporting obligations.
- The ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with children, families and colleagues.
- A commitment to promoting children's rights, participation and inclusion.
- An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, culturally safe, inclusive and respectful practices.
- A passion for creating safe, engaging and supportive learning environments where children can thrive.
Mandatory Requirements:
To be considered for this position, applicants must hold or be willing to obtain:
- A valid NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Relevant Early Childhood Education and Care qualifications.
- Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain where applicable).
Salary & Benefits

Salary: $84,000 to $97,000
